Hi.. I'm back with my second dress form for the challenge... this was a lot of fun to make..
I used a little wooden box I got at the thrift store.. I put some Graphic 45 paper in the back of the box then stamped a chandelier ( my favorite stamp from Stampendous ) then added some fabric flowers from Joann's and some Recollections bling.. The dress form, spool and button are a Tim Holtz die. I heat embossed them 3 times with Stampendous "Pearl Garnet" powder and
while they were still warm I took a big flourish stamp and stamped into them.. I love this look.. It adds so much texture.. I added some pretty lace with pearls around the box and some lace and a little flower to the dress form.. the flower is from Prima.. I also added some Pink Stickles to the dress form...
Hope you are having a great week.. it has cooled down a little bit here in Cali... but I know it won't last... :( Hugs.. Jen

Hi everyone, here is a card I made for the "Piece by Piece " challenge.. This month the challenge was to transform a dress form.. this is my first time doing this challenge and it was really fun.. I have another dress form I am altering and I will share that with you when it is finished.. you can enter as many times as you want.. ( thepiecebypieceblogspot.com )
First I stamped the background with a Hero Arts stamp (Variety & Quality ) you can't see it to well but it is a really cute old fashioned ad stamp. The dress form is a Tim Holtz die. I used a Martha Stewart punch and some cute trim from Joann's... the "You Are Fabulous" stamp is from the Michael's dollar bin. I used grunge paper and fabric to cut out the dress form then added a little skirt and some inked seam binding.. and of course a little bling, pearls and a little flower..
Thanks for stopping by... hugs... Jen

Hi Friends... what is it with me and Paris ???? I just love anything that has the Eiffel Tower on it or has anything to do with Paris.. maybe it's the black & pink that is always associated with it.. who knows :)
This was made from all scraps.. I used a EK Success punch, a Eiffel tower stamp that I cut out and put on some Martha Stewart "white gold" glitter.. "Ooh La La" stamp from Studio G... the little pink and white trim I found at the antique mall.. flowers are Petaloo..
I have been having a good time altering a couple of wood boxes from the dollar store, and making a smash book... SO FUN.. no rules just do what you want and then when finished just smash stuff into the book, like, things your kids made, pictures from magazines you want for inspiration... tickets... pictures... recipes... journaling... anything you want... watch for a video on my youtube channel (sgit56)...
Well, enjoy the rest of your week... hugs... Jen

Hi friends... hope everyone had a good week. The weather here was perfect so I spent a lot of time outside with my kids (dogs:) we had the sod put in, now I just need to do the rest.. and I can't wait... I really love going to the nursery and picking out the flowers and shrubs... but I leave the planting to my husband :) Anyway here is a cute card I made... I really wanted to use red.. the background paper is from Sassafrass Lass.. I used a rose stamp from Inkadinkadoo and stamped it in red all over the paper.
I edged the sentiment ( from Michael's dollar bin ) with a Martha punch.. I cut out the mat using a template from Kiwi Lane Designs and the bracket across the top is Spellbinders "Elegant Posts" ... ribbon and flower are from my stash... And I just LOVE the little napkin the card is laying on... you can take it to a picnic and it comes with ants... so cute :)
Well, enjoy the rest of your day.. hugs.. Jen

Happy Wednesday !! I'm really enjoying this week, some people call it "June gloom" but I love it :) about 72 here with a cool breeze and a little overcast... Perfect... I'm dreading the 100 degree days, that's when I stay in with the air on !!
Here is a card I made using a little bit of fabric ( the patterned strip in the back of the envelope )
I also used a little doily and envelope I cut out on the Cricut. The orange felt flower and leaves are a die from Papertrey Ink...
I Inked everything with Ranger " Vintage Photo".. the sentiment on the tag is from two different stamp sets, both from Michael's dollar bin ..
We are in the process of finishing the landscaping in our yard, I will share the photos with you when it's done... I cant wait :) Hope you are all having a good week... catch ya later... Jen

Happy Friday :) Hope everyone is safe.. I have family in El Reno, Okla where a tornado touched down this past week, luckily everyone is ok... I think i would rather have earthquakes !!
Anyway, here is my card... sort of out of my comfort zone :) but i wanted to do something a little different.. it took all of my willpower to keep from adding more "stuff".. this is very plain looking to me, but that's what a lot of people like... so I gave it a try...
I used DCWV "Mod Retro" paper, butterfly is old sheet music cut out with a Papertrey ink die... a small chipboard piece from my stash that I stamped... and a little bling :)
Well, its Memorial day weekend and I am staying home, to many crazies out there... I have a lot of things to get done in my scrap room... cleaning (yuck), and reorganizing... and of course more card making (BIG smile)... Whatever you decide to do this weekend, stay safe and have fun !!
hugs... Jen

Butterfly is a die from Papertrey Ink. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom orange paper..
The flower is fabric that I cut out with a Sizzix circle die and inked the bottom three circles with Ranger "Tea Dye" ink.. cant remember where I got the tag.. I used some alpha stamps and bling from Michael's dollar bin.. I really love the Kraft cardstock ( Bazzill )..
I'm off to watch Dancing With The Stars... hugs... Jen

Good morning... hope you all had a great weekend. It's been two years since we moved in here and we are finally getting the sprinklers done and then the grass... I can't wait !! I have all of my yard "stuff" in the side yard just waiting for me to put out.. I'm really looking forward to going to Lowes and getting all of the plants :) I will share a pic when its finished... Anyway... here are a couple of cards I made with my new Papertrey Ink stamps i got last week...
On this one I used the "Tiny Tags" stamps and die from PTI and I also used Spellbinders, Tim Holtz and Martha Stewart... so fun to use multiple dies and punches, it really adds a lot of dimension to the card...
Here are the tags with a couple of sentiments.,,, aren't these the cutest !!..
On this card I used the "Postmark" stamp set from PTI... I LOVE this set... I cant wait to do some 4th of July cards :) I also used an image from K & Co... a little paper flower made with a Donna Salazar die..
Well, I'm going to see how the yard is coming along... have a good day... hugs... Jen
