BEE'S !!!!!
This is what we woke up to this morning !
Bee's in the attic...
So we called out the bee guy and he sprayed some stuff
up into the hole they were going in and then stuffed something
there so no more could get in.
Now they are all gathering around because
the queen is in there ...
SOOOO Wednesday he will come back and get rid
of all the bee's on the side of the house
and then he has to take part of the roof off
to get to the hive !!!
(did I mention I DON'T LIKE BEE'S !!) Holy Cow...
what next !!!
I will keep you posted... Have a bee-less day :) Jen
If Noah had been truly wise.... he would have swatted those two flies !!!
(or in this case .. bee's)
TGIF ;)
Wow... can you believe July is over ! Only four months
till Christmas.. and since I LOVE the holidays, I can't
wait *big smile* :) Anyway, here is a quick card I made
out of scraps and a little picture from "Crafty Secrets"
I didn't put a sentiment on it so I could use it for any occasion.
The kids are on the beach, so it would be a good "Bon Voyage" or
"Have a great Summer" card.. Well, lots to do, our house is
for sale and you know how that goes, you have to keep it
clean ALL the time in case anyone want's to see it.. but there is
always time to scrap, so I will see you tomorrow with a
scrapbook page and maybe another card. Enjoy the rest
of your day..... Jen
A true friend is someone who think's you are a good egg...
Even though she know's you are sightly cracked !!

Luggage Tags...
Hi, hope you are all having a good day..
My friend Cheryl is going on a little trip so
I thought I would make her some luggage tags..
Just in case her suitcases are like everyone else's !!
I used some scraps, Prima flowers and cut
the tag with a Spellbinders nestability die.. then
I laminated them on my Xyron, and added some
ribbon to tie them on the luggage.. Enjoy the rest of
your day & I will see you tomorrow... Jen

Happy Hump Day....
I wanted to share this little owl book my
friend Pat made for me.. Isn't it cute..
she stamped the owl and colored it with Copics..
(someday I will have more than 3 of those pens)
I made the alphabet tabs to make it into an address book;
Thanks "Aunt Patay" you are the best...
One more thing...
A pineapple pound cake.. it was good
but VERY sweet. If you like pineapple upside down
cake, you will like this. It is a recipe from "Sandra Lee's
Money Saving Meals" ... well, let me know if you liked it. Jen
Pineapple Pound Cake
1 8oz. can pineapple slices, drained, reserve juice
1 16oz. box pound cake
2 eggs
1 16oz can pineapple juice
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 T. butter
Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 by 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and set aside. Remove 3 pineapple slices from the can and reserve the juice and set aside. Chop remaining pineapple slices into small pieces and set aside. In a large bowl combine the cake mix, eggs, and 1 can of pineapple juice. Blend with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and beat for 3 minutes on medium speed. Stir in the chopped pineapple and combine well. Pour into the prepared loaf pan. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick, inserted into the center of the cake, comes out clean, about 45 to 50 minutes. Remove and cool completely. In a small pot over medium heat combine the reserved pineapple juice and 1/4 cup of water. Add the brown sugar and butter and bring to a simmer. Add the remaining 3 pineapple rings and saute for 4 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from the heat. Reserve. To serve, remove the pound cake from the pan and transfer it to a serving plate. Arrange pineapple rings on top and secure with toothpicks, if necessary. Pour the sauce over the cake and enjoy...

Butterfly....
Alyssa made this cute little butterfly in school out of
a clothespin and tissue paper.. they put paint on the
paper and sprayed it with water to let the colors run
together, then scrunched it in the middle and
put up the center of the clothespin...
.. she was so proud of herself.. I framed it and it
is hanging in my scrap room.. she just smiles every time
she see's it.. and so do I. Grandkids are the greatest !!!
I put a small tag in the corner.. it says
" Made by Alyssa, age 3 1/2 "
I found this little charm, Prima flower and a scrap
of ribbon and added it to the corner.. I hope someday
she will have this hanging in her house.. Well, I off
to lunch with the Chica's.. See you tomorrow.. Jen

my 4 little helpers (aka: dogs) they are lovin' it, all sprawled
out on the floor with the fan blowing right on them....
I found some die cut punch outs I have had for a while and

friend. I'm not sure who they are by, they had a
NRH on the back... I used paper scraps,
brads, ribbon and flowers...
Here they are all packaged up and ready to go..
I really love the clothes pins.. they add a cute little touch to the bag.. Hope you all are keeping cool.. I think I will go get a big piece of watermelon and a big glass of iced tea and pretend I'm on the beach in Hawaii... :) Have a great day.. Jen

Really Missing my little Annie...
Wow.. this is hard.. I am really missing my Annie.
Everywhere I go I see her cute little face & see her little tail
wagging.. I've lost my little shadow..
Well.. I will try to be better tomorrow.. but I'm
not promising anything.. This was supposed to be
my post for Monday, but needless to say I wasn't
in the mood... so here it is...

I hope you enjoy it, how could you not enjoy it... it's pure sugar :)

No Bake Cheesecake
20 whole graham crackers, crushed
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter melted
2-8oz. cream cheese softened
1tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar ( I add more, the the recipe calls for only 1 cup, go figure !)
1 large Cool Whip
2 cans cherry pie fillling
Mix butter & 3/4 c. sugar with the crackers & press on bottom and up sides of 9 x 13 baking dish. Put in freezer for 15 minutes. Mix cream cheese, vanilla & 1/4 c. sugar, spread over crust (freezing crust makes it easier to spread mixture) spread cool whip on top of cream cheese and cherry pie filling on top of cool whip. I have also used 1/2 cherries & 1/2 raspberries, that is really good.. refrigerate 2 hours before serving...

Miss Annie...
This is a hard post for me to write... It's been a very emotional day.
We lost our little Annie today.. she would have been 10 years old
in October...she was a very special little girl.
We will miss her so much..
She had a collapsed trachea and she wouldn't have
made it through surgery.. She was always
by my side, no matter what I was doing
she just wanted to be with me..
It's going to be very lonely now..
But she will always be in my heart...

****Happy Fourth of July****
Here are the "kids".. in their festive 4th outfits :)
The only reason they were so still is beause of the scarves,
they really didn't like them, so I guess they thought if they
