I'm really lovin' the purple... and the music stamp with the Spellbinders die to match... Love it !!
First I used a Tim Holtz "Music Note" embossing folder on the background paper, then a Martha Stewart "Loops" punch on the checked paper.... I used Spellbinders "Labels 13" and then stamped with "Music Label" from Sparkle N Sprinkle... in Ranger "Dusty Concord" ink... I added a little sentiment.. some seam binding I inked with the same ink... butterfly is cut from a Papertrey ink die and the little button I made with my new punch from Epiphany Crafts... ..Whew !!! I have a special friend in mind for this card :)
I purchased a lot of things at the Scrapbook conv. in Del Mar a few weeks ago and I am really anxious to use them... dies, paper, punches, embossing folders etc. so hopefully you will be seeing me here more often... so... I'm off to do some crafting :)... hugs... Jen

Happy Friday everyone !!! I received my order from Papertrey Ink yesterday and I couldn't wait to make a card using my new stamps and dies.. here I used the "Dress Form" die and stamp set... so dang cute :)
I used my polka dot stamp with some Versamark and heat embossed it with Stampendeous "Sky Blue" powder.. I used some ink I had ( I think I got this ink in a kit years ago, there was no name on the ink pad but it matched perfectly :) to stamp the dress from and the sentiment... it says "Wishing you a Fabulous day" ( sorry for the light pic... I tried to get it darker but it didn't look good ) the fancy border is from my stash.. the felt I cut out of Papertrey wool felt, this stuff is so nice to work with... I used my Spellbinders Donna Salazar "Rose Creations" die..
I got a "Flip" video from my son for Mothers day so I will be taking a video of my completed craft room when I get a chance to share with all of you.... I really appreciate you stopping by and comments are always welcome... Have a great weekend.. big hugs... Jen

The Ladies :)
Hi everyone.. sorry I've been gone for a while, I have slowly been working on my scrap room & still not feeling 100%.. that pneumonia really kicked my butt !!! Anyway, here is a card I made for my friend Elaine... I LOVED this image the minute I saw it and the sentiment is so funny... but I can't share that with you cause I will be making this card for a few of my lady friends and I don't want to ruin it when they open the card...
This stamp if from Art Impressions and it is titled "Girlfriends".. I colored it with my Copics and added a little Stickles... sorry you cant see it :( I used some cute green polka dot ribbon and added two buttons in the corner... very simple cause that picture is all you need :)
Hope you are all having a great week... the weather is beautiful here so I think I will go sit outside with a big glass of tea and enjoy it for a while... hugs... Jen

Hope you're having a good day... enjoy... Jen

Bunny Cookies.. My granddaughter was over a couple weeks ago and she went to the grocery store with me and found the "Bunny Cookies"... she was so excited.. "Grammie.. let's make cookies" and of course I can't tell her no... (what kind of a grammie would I be if I did :) Anyway.. here she is putting he cookies on the pan.. she thought she was really baking (big smile)
I had this little strawberry basket that I added a little handmade flower to & a little Easter card.
The cookies were so cute.. I'm not a baker... so Alyssa won't be learning a lot of that from me.. but I can teach her how to cook almost anything and I know we will have a lot of fun in the kitchen :)

I hope you like round cards :) I recently bought the "Wild Card" Cricut cartridge and I LOVE IT !!! I found the round doily card and cut out a few ( a lot ) of them...
The butterfly is a outline sticker from "Peel Offs" I put it on a special glitter paper and colored it with my Copics... very sparkly in person... Happy Easter stamp from dollar bin @ Michael's..
All of this card was made with leftovers I keep in a container on my desk.. things I was going to use on something else but didn't look good... but they all came together on this card...
Warning: You will be seeing this round card again :)
Have a great Friday... hugs... Jen

Paper Bag Book...
I LOVE making paper bag books :) you can put so much in them.. lots of tags and little extra goodies !! I made this book with the "Early Bird" line from Cosmo Cricket..
The frame is from the Michael's dollar bin, it was brown so I painted it cream and inked it with Ranger "Vintage Photo" ink.. flower is Recollections (Michael's).. seam binding inked with "Peeled Paint".. some tulle and a little charm (Michael's) and a Tim Holtz safety pin...
inside pages one and two... some Tim Holtz, some tickets, some vintage lace....
a little envelope cut out on my Cricut "Wild Card" cartridge, some twill tape...
Page four... a doily cut in half, some tags.. and flower (Tim Holtz die) with some Prima flowers added...
These are all of the tags that go inside the pockets..
a little four fold book that will hold eight pictures...
This will hold nine pictures...
I added this drawer pull to the spine of the book... getting tired of rings and spirals :) and of course some ribbon... If you look at the first picture you can see my book is held together with a clip I painted... Silly Me.. I forgot to put the closure on first and when the book was all finished I said "Holy Crap" .... how am I going to keep the darn thing closed ??? So this will have to do.. I don't think it looks bad.. in fact I sort of like it !! What do you think ??
I'm off to make some Easter cards... enjoy your day... hugs... Jen

Easel Card...
I've been wanting to do something different than just a plain card, so I started blogging and found this easel fold on Splitcoaststampers....
It looks like a normal card....
then you open it up and it folds like an easel....
So fun :) All of the paper I used is "Kitschy Kitchen" from Melissa Frances.. I used my Martha Stewart punches for all of the borders and my new Spellbinders "Banners Basics Two" to cut the little banner.. I think they sort of look like pockets !! The "Seed" image is Crafty Secrets.. I added some seam binding inked with Ranger "Peeled Paint"... a butterfly from Michael's dollar bin some blue and white bakers twine ( can't remember where I got it :( The "You Are Fabulous" stamp is also from Michael's dollar bin... I'm starting on some Easter cards so this easel fold just might show up again :)
Thanks for stopping by ... hugs... Jen

I had so much fun with this card.. and don't you just love the colors :) I didn't feel like stamping so I used a little tag from K & Co. that says " The Sweet Life"...
I used Kraft card stock with matching envelope. The paper is K & Co. "Sweet Nectar"
and I put a couple of strips of Tim Holtz "Tissue Tape"...
I used one of my Martha Stewart punches, some twine and a little pink bling ribbon slide from Queen & Co. I loved the little pompom trim, so dang cute !! (from Michaels)...
My paper bag book is almost finished, so I will share it with you as soon as I get the pictures taken.. hugs... Jen

Queen For A Day...
Hi everyone... hope you are all having a great day ! Its cold and rainy here and I love it :)
A "very" long time ago when I was little there was a game show on TV called "Queen For a Day" ( in black and white :) and my mom always watched it, so of course so did I... and that's where I got my sentiment for this card...
I cut out the bird with a Szzix die and added some little leftovers for the feathers on the tail... first embossing with a Cuttlebug "Paisley" embossing folder.. I printed the sentiment on my computer and die cut it with Papertrey Ink. labels die Fillable Frames 4 and stamped it with Fillable Frames 4 stamp... The star is "Melissa Frances", crown is "Heidi Swapp" and the pearl is from the Michael's dollar bin !! Background paper is "Theresa Collins"... I think this will make a very cute birthday card for one of my girly friends :)
Thanks for stopping by... hugs... Jen

TGIF....
Happy Friday everyone... this week has gone so fast !! I think is was the time change, that one hour sure makes a difference :) Anyway... here is another card I made this week using a mat pad from K & Co.. we got this in at work and of course I had to have it ! its been sitting on my desk for a few weeks and I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it so I just decided to make a card ( big surprise )...
The butterfly is Papertrey Ink.. I cut it out in felt and then put the patterned paper over it and a added a little bling... I used gold "Smooch Spritz" on the tag and stamped a sentiment inside (forgot to take pic of that:( I printed the "Girly You Rock" on my printer, (Papertrey Ink has a stamp set with cute sayings including that one) then added some buttons and lined the envelope..
I have a couple of ideas for some paper bag books.. I love those, you can get so many pictures in them... so I think I will go through my MANY paper stacks and see what I can come up with.. Have a great day... hugs... Jen

Nature's Inspiration...
This is for Sassy Cheryl's card challenge.. this week it is "Natures Inspiration"... I just love this little watering can and had to get it colored :) I used my Martha Stewart punch around the page for the card and Spellbinders for the image matting... and colored with my Copics.. so fun (big grin)
You really can't see it but the little white button I covered with tinsel glitter in white, it really sparkles in person... some Prima pearls and dyed seam binding ribbon... and OF COURSE a digi image from "Sassy Cheryl" ( I saved the best for last !) if you haven't been to her site yet .. you really must go, but first let me tell you that you will have a hard time deciding which one you want because they are ALL cute :)
I will have a few more cards to share with you in the next few days... my doctor told me to "do nothing" .. but after doing nothing for three weeks now, I'm ready to do a lot of crafting !! so I have been in my scrap room watching TV and youtube and getting a lot of ideas that I can't wait to try....
Thanks for stopping by... hugs... Jen

I'm Back....
Hi everyone, sorry I've been gone so long. Today is the first time I've felt like getting in my scrap room and doing something :) I have been off work for two weeks and the doctor told me today I can't return till the 29th... This pneumonia is the pits !!! I have NO energy and the cough is lingering on and on... Oh well, enough of that...
I bought this VW stamp (Stampavie) at the scrapbook convention in Feb and really wanted to use it... isn't it the cutest :) I colored it with Copics.. and used my new Spellbinders for all of the elements, a little butterfly and a big purple ribbon...
I sure hope all of you are feeling well and having a great week so far ... and if any of you have relatives or friends in Japan my prayers are with you.... hugs.... Jen
You have a cough ? Go home tonight,
